Cape Cod

Cape Cod

We stayed at the Ocean Club Smugglers Beach.

On Monday we drove to the very end of the Cape and toured around Provence Town or as the locals call it "P-Town".

The tower didn't seem to have any historical significance except the town wanted a focal point.

The restaurant on the wharf didn't seem to interesting so we asked around for recommendations and were directed to a place back where we parked our car.

The place next door to the restaurant had some interesting bird sculptures mad from familiar junk welded together.

Marconi set up a wireless station on these shores back at the turn of the 20th century but the ravages of time left nothing standing.

The next day we went to near by town called Orleans because the people hated the English: where we were told that there was a Antique train ride but after reading the negative reviews we decided not to do the train ride, but to have a look at the model train display....something that has always been an interest of mine.

Chatham

The Captain's Place where we had more scrod and lobster rolls for lunch, which was always our choice through out the visit.

All the gift shops displayed model sail boats in their front window

Peddle cars that any kid would gladly die for were tantalizing displayed in this window.

Light house and Coast Guard Center where many rescues where made in its history.
