Visited Florida again in the late fall of 2017; with stays at Mystic Dunes near Orlando and Cocoa Beach which were both very nice but different. I have to say that of the two, we enjoyed the Space Coast the most.
Enjoying our glass of wine at the beach while waiting for the rising super moon.
Came across this tired who was standing in the long afternoon shadows and staring out to sea.

A cold front moving in from Canada that lasted for a couple of days at the beginning of our second week.
This local was not tempted to give up his perch to anyone.
Cocoa Beach Pier has seen better days and is being renovated.
Mr and Mrs Claus arrive in Cocoa Beach Dec 16th almost a week before anywhere else. Still a warm spot with cold beer!
Hundreds of Skydiving Santas dropped down from the sky unto a beach filled with excited families who turned out to take part in the spectacle. I am not sure but I think that the one who landed in the big red chair was to be declared the real Santa.
Hundreds of Santas flew in to please the crowds.
It all happened in front of our time-share.
Las Olas
Our last day in Cocoa Beach was a blast; it all started with a walk on the beach, then all of a sudden we looked up and spotted what we thought was a flaming drone hovering over the beach. The sonic boom finale was proof enough that it was real - a live Space-X mission of it's Falcon 9 Commercial Delivery System (CDS).
